What is the noise level of a Beko dishwasher?
A Beko dishwasher's noise level is 39, 45 or 48 dBA, depending on the model, and no other value appears anywhere in the current US range. Beko prints it as a "Noise Level" row on each product page and as "SilentTech" on the spec sheet.
The two always agreed for the models we read. Many pages also carry an "Exceptional Silence" panel whose line changes with the model: the DDT39434XC2 says "Beko dishwashers are as quiet as 39 dBA.", while the DDT38532X and DUT36522X pages say the same of 45 dBA.
A few older sheets go further. The 2016 sheets for the DUT25401X and DIT25401 list "48 dBA wash noise level", the only Beko wording we found that ties a figure to part of a cycle. For what an A-weighted number can and cannot tell you, see what dBA means.
How loud is each 24 inch Tall Tub Beko?
Beko's 24 inch Tall Tub dishwashers list 39, 45 or 48 dBA. All of them are 33 7/8 inches high and 23 9/16 inches wide, and the white, black and stainless versions of a model list the same figure.
- 39 dBA: DDT39434XC2 (top control, pro handle), DDT39434XIHC2 (pocket handle) and DIT39434C2 (panel ready), plus the earlier DDT39434X and DIT39434, whose 2022 sheets print the same SilentTech figure.
- 45 dBA, top control: DDT38532X and DDT38532X WS (pro handle), DDT38532XHW (hardwired), DDT38532XIH and DDT38532XIHHW (pocket handle), DIT38532 and DIT38532 WS (panel ready), all with 16 place settings. Also the DDT28430X with 14.
- 45 dBA, front control: DUT36522X and DUT36522W with 15 place settings, and the older DUT36520X and DUT36520W, whose 2019 and 2020 sheets say "Silent Tech: 45 dBA".
- 48 dBA: DDT25401X (top control, pro handle) and DUT25400X; front control DUT25401X, DUT25401B and DUT25401W and their hardwired versions DUT25401XHW, DUT25401BHW and DUT25401WHW; panel ready DIT25401. All hold 14 place settings and run five programs.
Which Beko dishwashers fit a lower opening?
Beko's four Full Size models fit a lower opening. They stand 32 3/16 inches high, 1 11/16 inches shorter than a Tall Tub, and all four list 48 dBA. The DDN25402X installation drawing shows an opening from 32 1/4 to 36 1/4 inches high; the Tall Tub drawing starts at 34.
- 48 dBA: DDN25402X (stainless, pocket handle), DDN25402W (white), DDN25401X (bar handle) and DIN25401 (panel ready), all top control.
Two details on these sheets do not line up. The DDN25402X cutout row on page 2 still reads 34 inches high, against the 32 1/4 inch minimum in the drawing, so confirm the height with the installer.
The DDN25401X sheet also describes a Tall Tub with 12 place settings, while its product page lists Full Size, 14 place settings and 32 3/16 inches. Neither changes its 48 dBA.
How loud is the Beko 18 inch dishwasher?
Beko's 18 inch dishwashers both list 48 dBA: the stainless DDS25842X with top controls and a bar handle, and the panel ready DIS25842. Each is 17 5/8 inches wide and 32 3/16 inches high, holds 8 place settings and runs five programs.
So the narrow range shares the figure of Beko's five program 24 inch models, and nothing in it reaches 45 or 39. If a quiet 18 inch machine matters more than the brand, compare the quietest 18 inch dishwashers from other makers.
What separates a 39 dBA Beko from a 48 dBA Beko?
A 39 dBA Beko adds closed fan drying, SelfDry, a third rack and nine programs. The 48 dBA models on the spec sheets have static drying, five programs and no third rack.
The 45 dBA DDT38532X sits between them, with a third rack, eight programs and Active Ventilation drying, but no SelfDry. Annual energy barely moves across the tiers: 230 kWh a year for the 39 and most 45 dBA models, 234 for most 48 dBA ones.
Beko does not say which of these parts lowers the figure, and we would not credit any one of them with it. What the sheets do show is that, inside Beko, a lower number arrives together with a longer feature list.
Does the ProSmart Inverter Motor make a Beko quieter?
No, not in a way Beko's own figures show, because every spec sheet we could read lists "ProSmart Inverter Motor: Yes", from the 39 dBA DDT39434XC2 to the 48 dBA DDS25842X.
Beko's pages say "ProSmart Inverter Motor is twice as quiet as standard motors", without naming the standard motor or giving a figure. The motor may well help every Beko, but since all 32 have it, it cannot explain the nine dBA between them. The sheets do attach a "10-Year Warranty" to the motor, parts only, on top of a two year full warranty.
What are Beko's QuietWash program and Extra Quiet function?
QuietWash is a downloadable program on the 39 dBA models, and Extra Quiet Function is a row in their Technologies list. Beko gives a dBA figure for neither, so neither can be set beside the 39 dBA rating.
The DDT39434XC2 manual describes QuietWash as "a washing programme to wash the medium soiled left dishes in the most silent way." Its table gives QuietWash a 49 °C (120 °F) main wash and 274 minutes, against 101 minutes for Heavy. The product pages list Quiet Wash as "Downloadable Program 3", alongside HomeWhiz app connectivity.
Why is a Beko dishwasher making noise when off?
A Beko dishwasher with IonGuard can make noise when off, because the function wakes the machine at intervals. Beko's manual says that "your machine will be activated when it is turned off" while IonGuard is on, and that "it is normal to hear a ventilation sound from your machine."
IonGuard is listed on the 39 dBA models; the DDT38532X sheet shows a dash in its IonGuard row. The opposite case is covered too. The manual says "The machine will remain silent in pause mode for some time" while water clears from the tub and the dishes, so a quiet spell partway through is expected, not a fault.
Do suffixes like HW, IH and WS change a Beko's dBA?
No, every suffix version we found lists the same figure as its base model. Beko's spec sheet titles add "Hardwired" to the HW models, the IH models carry a pocket handle, and the C2 models have newer 2023 sheets than the earlier 39 dBA pair.
Beko does not explain the WS suffix. The DDT38532X WS lists 45 dBA like the DDT38532X but 239 kWh a year rather than 230. When a store's listing differs from this page, read the model number to the last letter, though for noise the base digits are what count.
Is a Beko dishwasher quieter than a Bosch?
No, not provably from the labels: Beko lists 39 to 48 dBA and Bosch 38 to 50 dBA, and neither brand names the cycle or test standard behind its figure.
On paper Beko's best, 39 dBA, matches the bar handle Bosch Benchmark and sits one above Bosch's 38 dBA pair, and at 18 inches the Bosch models list 44 or 46 against Beko's 48. The Bosch dishwasher decibel chart has the full Bosch range. Without a shared test method, treat a one or two dBA gap between the brands as a tie.
