How loud is a Venta disk stack humidifier on each speed?
A Venta disk stack humidifier lists 22 or 24 dB(A) on its first speed, 32 to 35 on its second and 44 or 45 on its third, by the comparison table on its US product page.
That table covers the Original, Comfort Plus and Original Connect lines, and each product page carries the same copy. Ranked within a speed:
Speed 1, from the lowest
- LW15 Original: 22 dB(A)
- LW25 Original, LW45 Original, LW15 Comfort Plus, AH510/AH515, AH530/AH535 and AH550/AH555: 24 dB(A)
Speed 2, from the lowest
- LW15 Original: 32 dB(A), its top speed
- LW25 Original, LW15 Comfort Plus, AH510/AH515 and AH530/AH535: 34 dB(A)
- LW45 Original and AH550/AH555: 35 dB(A)
Speed 3, from the lowest
- LW25 Original, LW15 Comfort Plus, AH510/AH515 and AH530/AH535: 44 dB(A)
- LW45 Original and AH550/AH555: 45 dB(A)
The LW15 Original has no third speed. The pattern is plain: the two largest consoles, rated for 600 and 645 sq ft, add 1 dB(A) at speeds 2 and 3, and the smallest one drops a speed and starts 2 dB(A) lower.
Venta pairs each speed with its power draw, "~3 / 5 / 8 watts" on all three-speed models and "~3 / 4 watts" on the LW15 Original. It publishes no output per speed, though, so the tables do not show how much less water the quiet step moves.
How quiet are Venta's Professional AH902 and AW902?
Venta's Professional AH902 Airwasher lists 17, 26, 37, 43 and 47 dB(A) over five stages, and the AW902 humidifier 22, 32, 42, 47 and 52, in one table printed on both product pages.
Stage for stage, the AH902 is lower every time: by 5 dB(A) on stage 1, 6 on stage 2, 5 on stage 3, 4 on stage 4 and 5 on stage 5. Each manual repeats its own row exactly.
Venta does not say why. The two differ in what they do: the AH902 adds a coarse dust filter and a HEPA H14 filter and is rated for 750 sq ft, while the AW902 humidifies only and is rated for 1,290. Their power rows differ too, about 7 to 32 watts on the AH902 against 6 to 38 on the AW902.
Venta also says the AH902 can run with humidification off, as a purifier. It does not say whether its noise row was measured with the disc stack turning. For purifier-only figures from other makers, see our quiet air purifier guide.
Which Venta humidifier suits a bedroom best?
The Venta AH510/AH515 Original Connect is our bedroom pick: it pairs its 24 dB(A) first speed with a Sleep mode that holds that speed and dims the buttons, for rooms up to 375 sq ft.
The LW15 Original lists 2 dB(A) less, but Venta describes no sleep mode or hygrostat for any Original model, only "One on/off button, two or three power levels depending on the model, LED status display, and automatic switch-off when the water runs out." Its speed is whatever you leave it on.
The LW15 Comfort Plus matches the AH510 on figures and Sleep mode without the app, at $349.99 on sale. Other makers' bedroom picks, measured other ways, are in our quiet humidifier guide.
What do Venta's Sleep and AUTO modes change?
Venta's Sleep mode drops a humidifier to its lowest speed and dims the display, and AUTO lets the hygrostat stop the fan once the room passes the set humidity.
The product pages for the Comfort Plus and Original Connect lines all say "Sleep mode dims the display and switches the lowest speed for ultra-quiet operation." The Original Connect manual adds that in Sleep mode "Only the Sleep mode button and the on/off button lights up, with reduced brightness."
The same manual describes AUTO this way: "When the preset humidity is exceeded by more than 5 %, the fan shuts off after approx. 60 sec." Its humidity target runs from 30 up to 70 percent, in 5 percent steps, with 50 preset at the factory.
On the Professional models, the AH902 manual says Sleep mode "reduces the fan stage to 1 and dims the display", the AW902 manual says much the same, and both let you set a humidity at which the disc stack stops turning. The AH902 adds a timer of 1 to 9 hours. On these models, Sleep is a starting point; the AH902 manual says the air flow can still be changed by hand.
Do Venta's pages and manuals agree on noise?
Yes, on noise: every Venta manual we opened repeats its product page figures speed for speed, from "22/32 dBA" on the LW15 Original to "17/ 26/ 37/ 43/ 47 dB(A)" on the AH902.
The labels differ, "Sound Levels" on the pages and "Noise level", "Sound level" or "Noise emission" in the manuals, but the numbers do not.
Reservoir sizes are where they part. The LW15 Original page lists 1.4 gallons and its manual 1.1. The AH510/AH515 page says 1.3 and the manual 1.1; the AH530/AH535, 1.8 against 1.5; the AH550/AH555, 2.6 against 2.2. We quote both and treat the manual's "max." figure as the more conservative one.
Why is my Venta humidifier clicking or gurgling?
A clicking Venta humidifier usually has mineral deposits on its gear or a rubber coupling not fully pushed into the gear, according to Venta's Original and Original Connect manuals.
The fix in both manuals is the same: "Clean black gear prongs with toothbrush", then "Remove gear and reinsert securely", and call Venta's customer service if the noise stays. The Original manual also asks for 18 to 20 inches of space from walls and furniture.
Gurgling is expected on the Professional models. The AH902 and AW902 manuals say start-up can take about 60 seconds, with "a noise (gurgling), which is not a quality defect."
How much louder is a Venta on its top speed?
A three-speed Venta lists about 20 dB(A) more on speed 3 than on speed 1, 24 against 44 on most models, which by the common rule of thumb sounds around four times as loud.
That rule says each 10 dB step sounds roughly twice as loud, explained in our page on dBA explained. Our decibel chart puts a whisper at 30 dB; Venta's first speeds fall under that line and its third speeds well above it, though Venta gives no microphone distance for any of them.
The top speed matters most in the first days. The Original manual says to set the highest power level and that the unit "will need to run continuously for about 7-10 days to properly condition the room it is in." Expect the loud setting for that first week or so, then step down.
Which Venta humidifiers are discontinued?
Venta's LW25 and LW45 Comfort Plus are being replaced: each page now names a newer Original Connect model, and both showed out of stock in both colors on November 4, 2026.
The LW25 Comfort Plus page reads "NEWER MODEL: AH530/AH535 ORIGINAL CONNECT HUMIDIFIER" and still sits in Venta's Comfort Plus category. The LW45 Comfort Plus page points to the AH550/AH555 and is gone from the humidifier listing. Both list the same figures as their successors.
Venta's US manuals page still links the LW60T Kuube L-T and LW62T Kuube XL-T humidifiers, but neither has a product page, so we treat them as discontinued and leave them unranked. Every current model prints a figure; we found none without one.
Stock also varied by color that day. The LW15 Original showed white out of stock and the LW45 Original black.
