How many decibels is a ZLINE dishwasher?
A ZLINE dishwasher lists 44, 51 or 52 dBA depending on its series, with 45 on four older Monument pages. Every ZLINE dishwasher has top controls, and every figure on ZLINE's site comes without a named cycle.
- 44 dBA, Monument, 24 inch: 30 model numbers, including 21 Autograph Edition versions, from $1,189.99 (DWMT-24, panel ready) to $1,639.99 sale.
- 45 dBA, older Monument pages: DWMT-RM-24, DWMT-RG-24, DWMT-BM-24 and DWMT-BG-24, $1,499.95 each.
- 51 dBA, Tallac, 24 inch: 28 model numbers, from $1,124.99 (DWV-24) to $1,664.99 sale (DWVZ-BS-24-CB and DWVZ-BS-24-G).
- 52 dBA, Classic, 24 inch: 22 model numbers, from $714.97 (DW7713-24) to $1,599.95 (DW-BS-24 and DW-BS-H-24).
The 18 inch Tallac group follows under its own heading.
Which ZLINE dishwasher is the quietest?
The Monument Series is ZLINE's quietest dishwasher, at 44 dBA on its product pages and on most of its sales sheets. Its feature list calls this "an insulated 44 dBA operation that allows you to run cycles at any time without disruption".
The current Monument pairs heated drying with "Auto Door Open Drying", four bottle wash jets, a sliding third rack, a UV LED light and a "Floor Timer Display" that shines the remaining time onto the floor. It holds up to 16 place settings, the most ZLINE lists.
Two details matter at install. The Monument is "hardwired-only and does not include a standard plug", and its sheet calls for a cutout 25 inches deep.
Why do some ZLINE Monument pages say 45 dBA?
Some ZLINE Monument pages say 45 dBA because they still describe the previous Monument, which ZLINE rated 45 before the current 44 dBA version arrived. The older pages mention "DuraWash® Technology", residual heat drying and two interior LED lights instead of Auto Door Open Drying.
An Internet Archive copy of the DWMT-304-24 page from May 20, 2025 named it a "Top Touch Control Dishwasher" at "45dBa" for $1,399.95. On November 4, 2026, the same page read 44dBa at $1,239.99, and its resources split manuals into units "MANUFACTURED IN OR BEFORE APRIL 2026" and those made from May 2026.
Four finishes, red matte, red gloss, blue matte and blue gloss, still carry the 45 dBa description and a single $1,499.95 price. Nine Autograph Edition pages, such as the DWMTZ-304-24-MB, show 44 while the sales sheet linked from the same page prints "Decibels 45".
How loud is ZLINE's 18 inch dishwasher?
ZLINE's 18 inch dishwasher lists 51 dBA. All 26 model numbers at that width are Tallacs: 12 standard finishes and 14 Autograph Edition versions, from $1,034.99 for the panel ready DWV-18 to $1,484.99 sale for the black stainless Autograph models.
The stainless DWV-304-18 measures 17.625 inches wide on its sheet and asks for a 17.75 inch cutout. It holds up to 10 place settings, keeps the third rack and eight cycles of the 24 inch Tallac, and plugs into a NEMA 5-15 outlet.
ZLINE's Classic manual from June 2024 still describes an 18 inch DW7714-18 panel ready model, but no 18 inch Classic was on ZLINE's listing. Narrow models from other brands sit in our 18 inch ranking.
Is a ZLINE Tallac or Monument the better buy for quiet?
The Monument is the better buy for quiet, since it lists 44 dBA against the Tallac's 51 and, in stainless, cost $65 less on November 4, 2026. The DWMT-304-24 was $1,239.99 and the DWV-304-24 $1,304.99.
The Tallac earns its place on installation. It plugs into a NEMA 5-15 outlet, while the Monument is hardwired, and its sheet asks for a cutout 24 inches deep rather than 25. It also lists eight cycles to the Monument's six, with Turbo Fan Drying alongside Auto Door.
A Tallac is the simpler swap for an old dishwasher in a standard opening with an outlet. Where the kitchen is open to a living area and an electrician can wire it, the Monument's lower figure is the reason to choose it.
Does ZLINE make a panel ready dishwasher?
Yes, in every series. ZLINE's panel ready models are the Monument DWMT-24 at 44 dBA, the Tallac DWV-24 and DWV-18 at 51 dBA, and the Classic DW7713-24 at 52 dBA, each taking your own door panel and handle.
- 44 dBA: DWMT-24, $1,189.99 ($1,399.99 MSRP). Autograph DWMTZ-24-MB, DWMTZ-24-CB and DWMTZ-24-G add a ZLINE handle for $1,274.99.
- 51 dBA: DWV-24, $1,124.99 ($1,249.99 MSRP). DWV-18, $1,034.99 ($1,149.99 MSRP). Autograph DWVZ-18 versions add a handle for $1,079.99.
- 52 dBA: DW7713-24, $714.97 ($1,099.95 MSRP), ZLINE's lowest price.
The gap between the panel ready Monument and Tallac in 24 inches was $65. For integrated models from other brands, see our panel ready ranking.
What does the ZLINE Autograph Edition change?
The Autograph Edition changes the handle and, on some models, the door finish, and nothing in the figure. Autograph Monuments list 44 dBA and Autograph Tallacs 51, the same as the standard versions they are built on.
ZLINE offers Matte Black, Champagne Bronze and Polished Gold handles, plus Helix handles in Champagne Bronze, Polished Gold and Polished Nickel on some Monuments. The satin stainless DWMTZ-SN-24-MB was $1,279.99, $40 above the plain stainless Monument.
Read the sales sheet before buying an Autograph Monument. On the DWMTZ-SN-24-MB the page and sheet both say 44, but on nine siblings the sheet still prints the older 45 and describes residual heat drying.
Why is my ZLINE dishwasher making noise?
ZLINE's manuals treat most wash and drain sounds as normal and point to loading for rattles. The June 2026 Monument manual says "Operational sounds during washing and draining are normal" and lists the drain pump and detergent dispenser opening among the causes.
The July 2026 Tallac manual traces "Shaking and hitting noises" to a spray arm "hitting the dishes in the lower basket" and says to "Move or remove items blocking the spray arm."
Both the Monument and Classic manuals also list a hard object in the wash module as a cause of noise. The Monument manual adds, "If noise continues after the cycle is complete, contact service." Our dishwasher noise explainer covers each sound by cycle stage.
